Shot for a 3 minute film festival, the constraint was trying to tell a legible story in 3 minutes...the original script was 3 pages but when we actually shot it -the running length came close to 5 minutes..So had to trim out 2 minutes without mutilating the story and keeping the essence alive. Hard decision to make, I was not especially happy with the way it turned up but I did it....I toyed with the idea of keeping a seperate 5 minute version but decided to stay with just one version. Production cost = NZ$50 ...The shoot took an hour of everyone's time and the edit two hours..:-) Enjoy. |
